Sleepwalking

Humans are complex creatures.  They are born alone but live among family and friends, surrounded by all kinds of information and distractions that can leave them feeling lost and adrift in the universe.   Individuals struggle to find their own space and push against the currents that threaten to overwhelm them.  This struggle is reflected in two paintings that symbolize people's sense of powerlessness in the face of both social dreams and harsh realities.  Sleepwalking, they move through the world without fully understanding their place in it.
